"It takes a village."
It was such a treat to be a part of Alexandria and Adam's wedding day; we instantly felt right at home with all of their family and friends. We've had the pleasure of knowing Alex and Adam for years, having went to high school with Adam and being friends with many parts of their close inner circle, so that made this wedding even more special for us as their photographers. The casual, low-key vibe of the wedding morning was quickly transformed into a more formal affair as the bride and groom got ready to say their 'I-do's.' We loved the simplistic yet elegant details (ahem, Alex's engagement ring, the groomsmen in sleek black tuxedos, and the bridesmaids in gorgeous black gowns) We DIED over Alex's fashion-forward high-low cut wedding gown, with beautiful appliqué lace, a fun, flirty skirt and a dramatic train. Not to mention the super cute long-sleeved piece she wore for the ceremony - she looked like an absolute dream and we loved that she went for an out-of-the-box look. Adam, you're definitely one lucky guy to have her!
The church ceremony was followed by a black-tie reception at The Old Field Club in Setauket, NY, which was full of good times, lots of laughs, and a night full of dancing. Throughout the night, in between capturing all of the big smiles and happy moments, we stood back and admired how many people truly love these two and came out to help celebrate their love for each other. As the best man Ryan said during his speech, "it takes a village," and that couldn't be more true for this couple. It takes a village of family, friends, co-workers, and college buddies to share in the love and happiness that they've shared for the past several years, and we couldn't be more grateful to have been a part of it. Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Reeve, we know there are so many more good times that have yet to come!
