Christine + Dan | Engagement, Peconic River Herb Farm

We had the BEST time shooting Christine + Dan’s engagement session at Peconic River Herb Farm recently! This place is a total gem, and if you’ve never been there, we high recommend it. It’s filled with little intimate seating arrangements, tons of greenery, a pretty cool glass greenhouse, and as an added bonus it backs up to the Peconic River (hello water views!) We had so much fun with these two and they were naturals in front of the camera. The lighting was beyond perfect and Kenny shot the entire session on film with the Contax 645 which made for TONS of super dreamy photos. Big shout out to PRHF for letting us hang out on their grounds, and also a big thank you to Boutique Film Lab for our scans! We are definitely looking forward to their wedding in August when these two say ‘I Do."‘

Cheers to the future Mr. + Mrs. Tessar!

Jessica + Kyle | Zuhoski Farms, Cutchogue NY

Jessica + Kyle had a magical wedding day in Cutchogue, NY back in September, complete with all of the best elements that the North Fork has to offer. September 1st is a special day to those who live out east; it’s that unique date that signifies wrapping up the summer season, and since it usually falls on or around Labor Day Weekend it’s the perfect time for one last celebration before heading into Autumn.

Jess + Kyle started their day getting ready at their family homes, followed by a quick ride on the North Fork Trolley to their beautiful ceremony at a quaint, classic church in Mattituck. Afterwards we made a quick stop at a sweet little beach in New Suffolk, hit another photo-op at the Cutchogue Fire Department where Kyle has been a volunteer firefighter for years (sidetone: we LOVE taking photos at locations that are special to the bride or groom!) and we made our last stop at Zuhoski Farms, a local tree farm equipped with rustic barns and wide open spaces for all of their guests to enjoy. Their reception had a packed dance floor all night long (their guests clearly know how to have the BEST time!) and they capped off the night with a special fireworks display put on by one of Kyle’s long-time friends. Does a wedding possibly get any better than this? We think not. See for yourself in the photos below! Honestly, these two made our jobs super easy, and we felt like we had known them forever! We are honored to have been a part of their wedding day and had an incredible time being a part of their celebration. Congratulations again, Mr. + Mrs. Pumillo :)

Marissa + Kevin | Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard | 8.10.18

Marissa + Kevin had such a perfect North Fork summer wedding at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard. When we first met these two, we knew we had to be a part of their wedding day. Having grown up about a mile away from the vineyard and feeling so connected to that area of the North Fork, we jumped at the chance to spend the day with this fun, laid back couple!

Marissa + Kevin met while they were in high school, and their love has grown ever since. During the best man’s speech (given by Kevin’s brother) he mentioned how this couple has been able to accomplish so much in their time together, and it was clear that everyone in attendance felt the same sense of accomplishment for these two. Marissa + Kevin have built a life together, and their sweet wedding day was only the beginning!

We have to give a major shout out BHFV, not only for offering their super lush vineyards that made for some amazing photos, but for their incredible horse rescue program that they run on-site in addition to their wine tasting room. We loved that they welcomed Marissa + Kevin into their barn to meet some of the beautiful horses. They even brought one of their horses out of the stable for a photo-op (see below!) It was a very cool moment and it was one that made the Kerman’s wedding unique, for sure.

Congratulations again to both Marissa + Kevin, we had a blast capturing your day!

Julie + Gregg, Hayloft on the Arch, Vernon NY | 7.27.18

Julie + Gregg had a magical wedding celebration at an incredible location in Vernon, NY. These two have a special love story that has developed over the span of almost 10 years, and we were happy to be such a major part of it.

These two both hail from separate upstate New York towns (that actually aren't even close to each other) but they met by chance through their careers on Long Island. They developed a friendship, and although their love story didn't begin right away, their paths were running side by side the entire time, whether they knew it or not. Their wedding completely captured all of the love they have for each other, and what made it so special is all of the family and friends who were such integral parts of their day. Julie + Gregg each read handwritten vows while Julie's son Landon joined them at the altar. The choice to just have the three of them stand together was a beautiful one, and it truly symbolized how complete their little family became on that day. It was a tear jerker (yes, we caught several people taking their tissues out during their ceremony, including you Gregg!)

Their celebration was held at Hayloft on the Arch, which was literally TO DIE for! Anyone who has ever had dreams of having or attending a barn wedding would be in heaven at this venue. We must say, before the wedding Julie showed us pictures of the location and we were in love then, but when we walked into the converted dairy barn it took our breath away. The rustic vibes, the design an set up from owner Alisha M., paired with Julie's choices in color, florals, and decor all fell together perfectly. We loved every part of it!

Julie + Gregg, we wish you a lifetime of happiness, and we can't wait to see how your love continues to grow!

Alexandria + Adam, The Old Field Club, Setauket NY 3.10.18

"It takes a village."

It was such a treat to be a part of Alexandria and Adam's wedding day; we instantly felt right at home with all of their family and friends. We've had the pleasure of knowing Alex and Adam for years, having went to high school with Adam and being friends with many parts of their close inner circle, so that made this wedding even more special for us as their photographers. The casual, low-key vibe of the wedding morning was quickly transformed into a more formal affair as the bride and groom got ready to say their 'I-do's.' We loved the simplistic yet elegant details (ahem, Alex's engagement ring, the groomsmen in sleek black tuxedos, and the bridesmaids in gorgeous black gowns) We DIED over Alex's fashion-forward high-low cut wedding gown, with beautiful appliqué lace, a fun, flirty skirt and a dramatic train. Not to mention the super cute long-sleeved piece she wore for the ceremony - she looked like an absolute dream and we loved that she went for an out-of-the-box look. Adam, you're definitely one lucky guy to have her!

The church ceremony was followed by a black-tie reception at The Old Field Club in Setauket, NY, which was full of good times, lots of laughs, and a night full of dancing. Throughout the night, in between capturing all of the big smiles and happy moments, we stood back and admired how many people truly love these two and came out to help celebrate their love for each other. As the best man Ryan said during his speech, "it takes a village," and that couldn't be more true for this couple. It takes a village of family, friends, co-workers, and college buddies to share in the love and happiness that they've shared for the past several years, and we couldn't be more grateful to have been a part of it. Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Reeve, we know there are so many more good times that have yet to come!

Marissa + Kevin: A golden North Fork engagement session

When two people meet each other and click, they may think of it as a perfect moment. When they fall in love, they may call it the perfect love story. When Kevin proposed to Marissa last year at Christmas time, we are pretty sure he was hoping it would be absolutely perfect for the love of his life, Marissa. And just like so many others, we were looking for nothing but perfect moments when we met with Marissa + Kevin for their engagement session at a super private, secluded location on the North Fork. Well, we were blown away when we got our film scans back, because every moment we captured was beyond what we hoped for (and more! ...And yes, this whole shoot was done on a Pentax6x7 with Kodak Portra800 film. MAJOR thanks to The FIND Lab for their expert level film processing!)

Marissa + Kevin fell in love back in high school, and spent almost the next decade building a life with each other. They were a blast to work with, very easy going and care-free around one another, and not to mention they were great in front of the lens! The golden autumn light, mixed with whimsical landscapes made for a perfect backdrop for the couple. We can't wait for their wedding in August at Baiting Hollow Vineyard! Congratulations Marissa + Kevin, see you two at the alter.

Amanda + Jared, The Abbey Grille, Fall River | 10.21.17

Autumn in New England can be a magical time, and Amanda and Jared's wedding day proved this to be true. It was a beautiful October day, full of blue skies and golden light. We were excited to travel to Fall River, Massachusetts to share the love between the couple, their families and friends, and of course, their blue-eyed dream baby Liam.

Amanda and Jared's day was full of special touches, from a hand-stitched gift from her mother, to a first-look for dad, to a life-size cardboard cutout of one of Jared's groomsman who couldn't attend (..because he is a professional basketball player currently stationed in Japan, no big deal) these two left no detail to spare. We especially loved the trolley the bridal party took to the venue; it was the last operable Fall River Trolley car available in the entire town. Very cool!

We had a blast photographing their wedding, but not nearly as much fun as their guests had tearing up the dance floor, taking polaroids in a non-traditional photo booth, and raising their glasses to Amanda and Jared all night long. Cheers to you both, and thank you for having us as part of your special day! #AllWalshedUp

Jordyn + Adrian, West Hills Country Club | 10.14.17

"I'm going to marry that girl."

Jordyn + Adrian met in college and SUNY Albany while working together at a pizza place. Adrian knew early on that she was the one for him, and they continued building and growing their relationship throughout their post-grad days. It was evident to everyone in attendance on their wedding day at The West Hills Country Club that these two shared tons of love for each other, and we could see that their closest friends and family were important parts of their story. From childhood friends in their bridal parties, to proud parents and siblings, every person who came to celebrate was beaming with just as much pride as Adrian was when he saw Jordyn walking down the isle.

We felt a personal connection to both the bride and groom (Adrian being from our hometown and sharing that #PolishPride that we both have; Jordyn is the sister of Tiffany's old roommate and long-time friend) so it was a blast for us to photograph all of the moments that made their wedding day complete. We loved the personal touches and essential family moments, especially Adrian's parents continuing a Polish tradition and dance at their reception. And we can't forget to mention how much fun these two had with each other! Watching them move around the entire dance floor, get hoisted up in chairs by their friends, and share the most frosting-filled cake smash we've ever seen was incredible.

Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Szlejter, we loved being a part of your big day! Cheers.

Ashley + John, Captain Bill's, Bayshore NY | 08.19.17

"She's my queen."

We're sure that phrase has been used throughout history, but when John said those three words about his stunning bride Ashley during his wedding day, we knew he truly meant it.

We were lucky enough to listen in on several beautiful moments between these two. Ashley and John's celebration was one full of true love that they was eager to share with their closest family and friends. The perfect August day was filled with beaming smiles, heartfelt handwritten vows, prayers led by family members, and continued support for these two all through the night.

Ashley + John were no doubt one of the easiest couples to work with, and we were thrilled when they asked us to photograph their wedding [side note: Tiffany is lucky enough to know them personally through teaching and can honestly say that they couldn't be more perfect for each other. They teach in the same district, both coach lacrosse, went to the same high school, and they HAVE to be one of the best looking couples we've seen!] We were also excited that they chose an August date at a waterfront location [because we LOVE summer; the lighting on Long Island during summer months is everything!] and that they chose simple but classic details to bring their whole day together. The groom and his men looked classy in navy [with a special touch, loved the socks!] and the girls kept it light and airy in blush tones, while Ashley wore a perfectly fitted boho-style dress. Kudos to you Ashley for putting everything together - all those months spent planning absolutely paid off!

While we have a TON of favorite moments from their wedding with photos to match, one of our favorites had to be when John first saw Ashley coming down the isle. The emotional first-look moment had guests themselves in tears, and the emotions continued to flow during the reading of the vows, as well as their first dance as husband and wife. Cue the tissues, everyone there needed them.

Congratulations to you both and thank you again for trusting us to capture every detail of your wedding. We're wishing you a lifetime of happiness as the new Mr. + Mrs. Amato!

Katie + Jared, Brotherhood Winery | 07.15.16

July 15th may have been the hottest day of the summer, but the sweltering weather didn't stop this couple from keeping cool, calm, and collected on their wedding day from the beginning to the end. There was a sense of serenity and peacefulness throughout the day, and it was a true testament to Katie and Jared's relationship (which began over a decade ago as college sweethearts!)

Brotherhood Winery was a beautiful location for their wedding day. It's America's oldest winery, and it offered a perfect balance of history and natural beauty. We pulled up and instantly loved it. Their on-location ceremony was simply designed with added personal touches (the officiant, Tim, was a co-worker of Jared's who offered plenty of humor throughout the ceremony... and even whipped out a selfie stick at one point to capture the moment. Classic.)

The love and happiness between Katie, Jared, and their loved ones was apparent throughout the entire day. After the ceremony guests enjoyed cocktail hour that was complete with a cheese cake, and no, we're not talking about the dessert. The four-tier "cake" made of cheese wheels was a huge hit (for all of you cheese lovers out there, this is a dream come true.) Followed by a reception full of dancing, singing, and good times (and home-brewed bottled beer at the bar, courtesy of the groom himself) this entire day was truly a celebration. Cheers to you two, Katie and Jared. Wishing you all the love in the world.
